#1 ROAD![]() Here's Hole #1, nicknamed, "Road". From Head Golf Professional Jake Vogt: "Hole #1 at The Club at Golden Valley is a great starting hole to walk away with a birdie. Just remember to keep the four letter word out of your head on the tee and be aggressive. If not, you better hope your group allows a Breakfast Ball! The 1st hole they named back in the day as the ROAD...it is a big mental block for a lot of players and the tendency is to always go left. Our members like to call out a Breakfast Ball, meaning a mulligan off the 1st tee to avoid this mental block!" How to Play: A short par five to start your round with OB down the entire right side. A drive down the left center would be ideal, giving even the average length hitter a chance to get home in two. Not a difficult hole to start out with as long as you stay left. | Men's Par, Yardage, and Handicap Information
